Nur Mohammad Smriti Mahavidyalaya (NMSM) has its own distinctive characteristics through continuous monitoring, counseling and dedication towards advancing the women education, gender equity and skill development. Our Institution has taken proactive measures to ensure access to quality education for girls in the region. Empowering Women through Education means to establish the success in academic fraternity along with the outstanding performance in social, environmental or ethical inclusiveness. It can be accomplished through several curricular and co-curricular activities. Institute always try to inculcate the discipline, awareness, moral responsibility, skills and professional ethics among the young students to create responsible citizen of our country. Female student’s enrollment number and retention rates in NMSM have been significantly increased by providing government scholarships. As a result of the above activities, our Institution secured 1st position in Kannyashree Scholarship in Murshidabad district during 2023-24 academic sessions.

Rural based Awareness Programs to Promote Girl Child Education
Understanding the critical role of community engagement, all of our faculty and staff members played the leading role to convince our girls students, local leaders, parents, and community members about the importance of sending girls to school and debunking myths surrounding female education. NMSM organized different awareness programmes through guardian meet & other activities to spread the importance of women education. As a result of the constant motivation and inspiration girls students number gradually increased upto 68% in our institution for their higher education.
